Airport welcome. Check in to your centrally located hotel. Afternoon: 2-hour guided food walk through the New Bazaar — taste aged gjizë cheese, mountain honey, wild herb teas, byrek, and fresh-pressed olive oil. Your guide explains what you're eating, who grows it, and why Albanian food is unlike any other Balkan cuisine. Evening: welcome dinner at a restaurant inside a converted Ottoman-era hammam.
